Remembering Savannah (Aka Nonners)
Savannah Bryant (aka Nonners) age 15 passed peacefully at her home on June 9, 2026, while watching The Lion King. She is survived by her fur-ever human family Nate, Cameron and Caitlin and her fur-ever dog sister Kaleesi. She gained her nickname “nonners” from Cameron who at the age of 1 ½ couldn't say “Savannah” and it stuck for the rest of her cat years.
Savannah was born in Chattanooga, TN and was adopted as a baby kitten from the McKinley Animal Shelter. Not long after her adoption she became very sick and cost her new family a great deal of money. They would never let her forget that trip. She absolutely hated traveling in the car, when her family moved to Savannah, she complained the whole time.
She was originally intended to be Caitlin’s cat. However, as she got older and much sassier, she took more of a liking to Nate. She could do no wrong in Nate’s eyes; she was his kitty and his best friend.
Nonners had a deep love for sleeping and taking naps with her bestie in the recliner. She loved being left alone and only when she requested a good head rub and chin scratch. She hated to even see the bottom of her food bowl; she would loudly complain if even the smallest hint of it was visible. She hated any type of cat treat and refused to eat them. She did love a good tail chase, we don’t believe she ever figured out it was attached.
Her and her fur-ever sister had a love-hate relationship. Khalessi tried to love her, but Nonners would never have it. Nonners did like to sniff Khaleesi when she was asleep, that was about the extent of their relationship.
She was an all-time champion at hair tie fetch. She was trained as a kitten, and no hair tie was safe. You couldn’t let her see you taking your hair down or even the sound of one and she was ready to play.
She had the world’s worst RBF, she always looked like she was judging or she was severely pissed off. If you were one of the chosen you might have been greeted with a meow and be allowed to love on her, but only on her terms. When she was done with you, she would let you know. This earned her the title “Saitine or Satan” depending on how mean she was.
Savannah will be missed very much by her family. Her loud morning meows at the first person up, because you must pay the kitty toll and pay her attention before you have that cup of coffee, and the random paw slaps when you walked by her just to remind you, she was there. She was a good cat and the fact she lived to be an old grump surprised us all. Almost as if she was surviving out of spite.
Thanks for the memories, Nonners.
We love you.
