Remembering Rosy Posy
In Loving Memory of Rosy Posy
Before Rosy, we were just thinking about getting a dog. Dad was against it—especially a tiny chihuahua—and made that very clear from the beginning. But with a little persistence and a lot of hope, we brought her home anyway… and she quickly became impossible not to love, especially for Dad.
Rosy Posy, our beautiful red/fawn long-haired chihuahua, was born on January 27, 2023, in North Texas. She joined our family on March 4, 2023, at just five weeks old. On the ride home, Sissy gave her the perfect name—“Rosy Posy”—and it fit her sweet spirit from the very start.
Rosy was full of life and personality. She loved chasing hands under blankets, playing fetch, laying in the warm sun, and running around with pecans in her mouth. Her absolute favorite thing was chasing and barking at squirrels.
Her favorite places were wherever we were—Sissy’s bed, her pink dog bed, the couch, cozy blankets, the backyard, and most of all, the ranch. The moment she knew we were nearby, she would light up with excitement, unable to contain herself.
She lived for the little things… weekend treats, long cuddles, and being close to her family. Rosy waited faithfully at the door for her dad to come home and for her Sissy to get off the school bus, always ready with love and excitement. She adored time with Bubba, especially cuddling and playing, and she had just begun to warm up to little Sissy, trusting her more each day. On long car rides, she was happiest curled up, snoozing on one of us.
Each of us had our own special bond with Rosy. Every relationship she built was unique, and somehow, she made each of us feel like we were her favorite.
We will forever miss seeing her in the window watching us, hearing her pitter-patter down the hallway, and laughing at how funny she looked all wet after bath time. She was the sweetest, most perfect dog anyone could have ever dreamed of. She filled our home with love and warmth in a way only she could.
We laid her to rest at the ranch, where she loved to be. Our hearts are broken without her here, but we are so grateful for every moment we had with her.
Rosy Posy, you changed our lives forever. You will always be missed, always be loved, and never, ever be forgotten. We hope you’re chasing squirrels and enjoying endless treats in heaven.
We love you, Rosy Posy Bear.
