Remembering Ozzie
In Loving Memory of Ozzie
Our Beautiful Black and Tan Dachshund
Forever in our hearts | ~2009–2024
With heavy hearts and boundless love, we said goodbye to our sweet Ozzie this past weekend. A gentle, loyal, and soulful black and tan dachshund, Ozzie was more than a pet—he was our son, our shadow, our joy.
From the moment he came into our lives, Ozzie filled our home with a love so pure and constant that it’s impossible to describe. He was there from the very beginning—sleeping on our chests, waiting by the door, racing up the bed ramp for morning kisses.
Ozzie was a steady companion through every chapter. He welcomed Rosie into our home and hearts, guiding her with patience and love. He found magic in the simple things: a quiet morning coffee, a warm lap, a favorite spot in the sun. His eyes held wisdom beyond words, and his soft ears carried the comfort of home.
He brought us comfort, laughter, and the kind of unconditional love that makes life worth living. And when his body grew tired, we held him close and let him go, surrounded by the love that had defined his every day.
If love could have healed him, he’d still be in our arms. And though our grief is deep, we know that Ozzie is now running free—pain-free and whole again. He waited for us at the gate, and he waits for us still.
Rest peacefully, sweet boy. Your leash is unhooked, your journey is free. One day, we’ll meet you again—our beautiful black and tan, our Ozzie boy—racing back into our arms.
