Marty was nothing like a typical rooster. From the day he hatched ,his sweet, patient nature set him apart from the rest of our flock. While roosters are often known for their territorial instincts, Marty had a unique gift for being a gentle, loving companion.

His affectionate personality shone through in the way he would remind calm and almost stoic. Marty would allow touch and basked in the attention. He was known to even lean in like a hug. He loved to nestle himself right into our laps. seemingly. Especially, Cameron’s, Marty would proudly sit and gaze upon Cameron with affection.

Marty's bravery protected his flock, taking Exceptional care of all his hens.

His sweet and patient disposition also made him an exceptional education ambassador. Over the years, he had the honor of teaching countless children, the elderly, and even disabled adults about the wonders of chickens and Agriculture . His calm demeanor allowed him to be handled with ease, and he seemed to thrive on the interaction, soaking up the love and adoration of everyone he met.

Even as the years passed and Marty grew older, his steadfast loyalty and affection never wavered. He remained a treasured, irreplaceable member of our chicken family up until his very last day. Though his loss has left a hole in our hearts, we take comfort in knowing that Marty lived a long, full life surrounded by the love and care he so freely gave to all who knew him.
