Animal hospice supports the relationship between animals and their people during aging, illness and life-changing diagnoses until final days of life. As an Animal Chaplain and Certified Animal Hospice Practitioner, I focus on quality of life care and maximizing comfort for the animal, while offering the pet parent emotional support as they navigate decisions, helping to make a difficult time a sacred one. Specifically, animal hospice provides support in: Determining the best way forward regarding treatment options Gaining clarity on what day-to-day caretaking will look like Creating a plan of care (e.g. pain medications per your veterinarian, mobility devices) Providing resources for complementary support (e.g. acupuncture, herbs, energy healing) Evaluating quality of life as their needs change Companioning you through grief before and after death Providing options for aftercare, ritual and memorials *As an Animal Chaplain and Certified Animal Hospice Practitioner I do not give veterinary advice
